We moved home a good year ago now. Wierdly met the old owner in the Newspaper shop at lunch - all very uncomfortable. This is a set of pics that show the before and after appearance of our bathroom & kitchen.

This tune constantly goes round and round and round my head. What I didn’t realise was this Gabba Gabba thing has something to do with the marvellous Biz Markie and Paul Frank’s Julius The Monkey - how cool is that? Skip to about 1 minute in for the rather addictive ditty or download the MP3 or a OK remix

On trying to find something about something entirely different I discovered this gem from the past (I think when Home Truths used to be presented by John Peel) by Tom Robinson who also has a great little column in the Torygraph. I often wonder however what his kids will think of some of the things when they grow up since he has documented their whole lives.. anyway as usual I’m getting off...

– Hope for us all wannable Olympians.  It fits with the laid back stereotype of Jamaica and I love it. Nutrition is not even half the big thing its meant to be in sport. Mc’D’s must be lovin’ it. [Usain Bolt post World & Olympic Record run]

Terry Pratchett (the author) has (recently) been diagnosed with Alzheimers. In this piece on the BBC news site I found this little gem. This is to be filed in “Why Assessments and health staff need to use better tests” or “Why is that these tests are so ridiculous” He has sold more than 55 million books worldwide and his work has been translated into 33 languages. But...

An email to the BBC
Yeah Go team GB! What I don’t get is this: Every four years the Olympics come round and everybody I know can’t get enough of Yngling, Various forms of Rowing that you didn’t know existed, a 1000 ways of riding a bike and Gymnastics that we all thought was a junior school event only (where is the monkey bars event in the Olympics though?). Viewing figures surely go through the...

– TUG OF WAR?! In the Olympics? Get in! Here’s my vote for the tug-of-war to be back in the 2012 Olympics! (NB: I was going to go as far as make a petition for this when I thought “No, I have a lot better things to be doing”. I saw that some people don’t however: e.g Allow Kanga’s to compete as...

Plurk & identi.ca -> Twitter (via my pipe & twitterfeed) -> facebook (via twitter app in facebook), tumblr (in the preferences) works really well. Highly recommended. Multi-social spamming. What with that and atomkeep.com I think Im all fixed up. No more tinkering with this microblogging malarky for a while

Plurk to Twitter
So plurk is one of the numerous microblogging platforms everybody is raving about. The only problem is the majority of folk are on twitter. There are a few services springing up to syndicate your plurk feed to twitter but one of them : twitterfeed (which is great at taking any rss feed and inputting it into twitter) leaves the feed untouched. It means you end up with a feed in twitter that...

Client: "So do you mind if I ask.. do you get paid well?"
Me: "Well lets put it like this. I can do three days work freelance as a web developer and get paid the same amount as 1 and half months full time as an OT"
Client: "Rigghhht"
Client: "So that's a NO then"
Client: "So why are you doing OT then??"

Why does my mac wake up every Friday at 1am?
Ok something like the 3rd week in a row now. Every Friday morning at about 1AM my imac decides its time to take over the world. “Booooong” at the dead of night. Annoying when you have set the volume to the max and you really need some sleep. Doing this in the terminal doesn’t help: Will-Wades-iMac:~ willwade$ pmset -g sched Repeating power events: shutdown at 9:30AM weekdays...

An Email to the Telegraph..
Loving the videos! Here are some ideas: - BMXing somewhere - perhaps the gt china wall?! - Synchronised swimming with Mr fatty aka Matt Pinsent :) An email in response to “Challenge James Cracknell” and the ace videos on telegraph.co.uk - an understated piece of class in the mire of Olympics rubbish (Hasn’t Matt Pinsent bloated out somewhat??!)
